Compare robots across the directory
The Compare page lets you place robot models side by side — by category, payload, and documented EU service status. It is the fastest way to answer the question that matters before a purchase: not just which robot fits the job, but which robot can actually be serviced where you operate.
How to use the compare view
Start from a category — humanoid, cleaning, delivery, quadruped, or mowing — and filter by the criteria that matter to you. The compare columns always include a service-facts column, so that the documented service path is never hidden behind the specifications.
- Category — humanoid, commercial cleaning, delivery, quadruped/biped, outdoor mowing
- Payload — the rated carrying capacity in kilograms
- EU availability — authorized, pre-order, marketplace, or none (see Method)
- Service status — the documented service-path label for the model
Why the service-facts column matters
Two robots can have nearly identical specification sheets and completely different service realities. One may have an authorized distributor with a spare-parts warehouse in the Netherlands; the other may be available only through a marketplace listing with no repair path. The service-facts column surfaces that difference immediately, so it can’t be lost in a wall of numbers.
What you can compare
Every model in the directory is comparable on a common set of fields. The full field list is:
| Field | What it tells you | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Brand & model | Manufacturer and exact model designation | Official documentation |
| Category | Humanoid / cleaning / delivery / quadruped / mowing | Editorial classification |
| Height, weight | Physical footprint | Manufacturer spec sheet |
| Degrees of freedom | Articulation complexity (humanoids) | Manufacturer spec sheet |
| Payload | Rated carrying capacity | Manufacturer spec sheet |
| EU availability | authorized / pre-order / marketplace / none | Verified service fact |
| Service status | Documented EU service path | Verified service fact |
| EU-ready score | 0–10 editorial heuristic | Derived from evidence |
Reading the service-status labels
Each model carries one of four labels. They are a factual classification of the documented service path, not a quality ranking. The labels are:
- 🟢 Authorized service point — a manufacturer-authorized service point, distributor, or integrator in the EU/EEA is publicly documented.
- 🟠 Pre-order only — sold or announced for the EU/EEA, but not yet shipping with service infrastructure.
- ⚪ Marketplace listing — appears on a third-party marketplace or reseller site without manufacturer authorization.
- ⚫ No service point identified — no public evidence of an EU/EEA service path found.
See the Method page for the full verification standard, evidence grading, and the indicator weighting behind the EU-ready score.
Compare by category
The directory is organised by category so that comparisons stay meaningful. Comparing a commercial floor-scrubbing robot against a humanoid tells you little; comparing two cleaning robots with different service coverage tells you a lot.
Humanoid robots
Fast-moving category with the widest gap between specification claims and service reality. Payload and degrees of freedom matter, but the service-path label matters more, because the repair network for humanoids is the least established of any category.
Commercial cleaning
The most mature category in the directory. Fleet uptime and spare-parts availability dominate the buying decision, so the compare view weights distributor and parts channels heavily here.
Delivery robots
Deployment support and on-site maintenance are the critical factors. An integrator network with local technicians is worth more than a long spec sheet.
Quadruped and biped research platforms
For developers, the ROS ecosystem and distributor support dominate. These models are often bought for research, where a responsive distributor and a healthy community matter most.
Outdoor mowing
Seasonal maintenance and dealer coverage are the key factors. A retail dealer network with local service capacity is the strongest signal for this category.
Free to use, no registration
The compare view is free and requires no account. It is an editorial tool from Robot Service Map Specifications are editorial and marked where verified. The service-facts column shows the model’s verified service-status label and the documented EU service path.
